HI AIR KOREA Co., Ltd. began to develop practical applications in December 2018 after receiving the original technology of "how and devices to remove radioactive materials from waste ammunition" developed by the Ministry of Science and Technology Research.
HI AIR KOREA Co., Ltd. Vice president Mr. Jeon siad that "If we succed to treat waste activated carbon contaminated with radioactive, storage space can be secured, treatment costs can be greatly reduced, and if commercialization is successful, it will open a new chapter in the disposal of waste activated carbon, one of the nuclear power plant's difficulties."
And also he explained that "We can achieve an epoch in nuclear dismantling waste disposal technology by applying this technology not only to overseas markets in this field but also to other radioactive wastes."
